This Privacy Policy describes how Aegis VPN
(“the App”), provided by Ring Connection Technology (Hong Kong) Co., Limited
(“we”, “us”), handles information when you use the App available on Google Play
(com.aegisvpn.securetunnel).
1. Overview
Aegis VPN creates an encrypted device-level tunnel using Android VpnService between your device and a selected VPN endpoint. The App is designed for everyday privacy protection on public Wi‑Fi, mobile networks, and other shared connections.
2. Data we collect
Consistent with the App’s Google Play Data safety declaration, we do not collect personal data for sale or profiling, and we do not share user data with third parties for advertising purposes through VpnService traffic redirection.
The App may include advertisements and may use analytics or crash-reporting services as configured by the distribution build. Where such services process limited technical diagnostics, they operate under their own terms. We do not use VpnService to redirect or manipulate traffic from other apps for advertising monetization.
3. VPN traffic
When connected, network traffic from your device to the selected VPN endpoint is encrypted. Service availability may vary by region and network condition. Connection status, duration, and performance metrics shown in the App are generated on-device for your session review.
4. Permissions
The App may request VPN-related system permissions required by Android VpnService, and network access necessary to establish and maintain the tunnel. Permissions are used only to provide the VPN features described on the product page.
5. Children’s privacy
The App is rated Everyone on Google Play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
6. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when revisions are published. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
